❄️ Blast Freezer Back Up & Running ❄️

We were called out to a blast freezer that had unfortunately gone down due to a refrigerant leak.

When we arrived we found a previous repair attempt on the pipework that hadn’t held, which had eventually caused the pipe to fail completely (you can see the hole in the photos).

To get the customer back up and running quickly we:
🔧 Removed the damaged section of pipework
🔧 Reinstated the line with new copper and proper brazed joints
🔧 Carried out a full pressure test to check for any other leaks
🔧 Pulled the system down to 500 microns to ensure a clean, dry system
🔧 Recommissioned the freezer and confirmed everything was operating correctly

The most important thing with refrigeration repairs is making sure the job is done properly the first time, as even a small leak can quickly lead to a full system shutdown.

Thankfully we were able to get this one repaired and back in service the same day, keeping disruption to a minimum.

If you’re having problems with refrigeration or air conditioning, feel free to drop us a message.
