Carried out a repair today on a Daikin LREQ8B7Y1 condensing unit serving multiple multideck displays.
One of the circuits had developed a fault which was traced back to a failed expansion valve, affecting performance on that section.
To carry out the repair properly we:
Reclaimed the refrigerant safely
Replaced the faulty expansion valve
Pressure tested the system to ensure no leaks
Pulled a deep vacuum to remove moisture and non-condensables
Recommissioned and confirmed correct operation across the system
Everything now running as it should, with all multidecks back to normal operation
Taking the time to follow the correct process is key on systems like this — especially when multiple cases are running from a single condensing unit.
